In a bid to lose weight, there are so many fitness fads that we encounter. We often come across all sorts of crazy diets on the internet through our daily scrolls on our social media feeds. Some of them ask us to cut back on certain groups, while others tell us to meet our daily calorie requirement by cutting our calorie intake. However, have you heard of a diet that actually asks you to eat more calories than you generally do? Believe it or not, there is such a diet and a famous celebrity is following it too. Recently, we got to know that famous Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman is eating 8,000 calories daily for his new role in ‘Wolverine’. Wondering what the diet is all about? Here’s what you need to know.
Actor Hugh Jackman is following this special diet as he will soon begin filming for ‘Deadpool 3’, the third in the Deadpool franchise starring Ryan Reynolds. Jackman will be playing the role of his famous character ‘Wolverine’, who will be featured in the Marvel universe for the first time. To prepare for his role, Jackman is bulking up and building his muscles for his role, which is why he is required to eat more than the usual required calories. Take a look at the post he shared on Twitter:

“Bulking. A day in the life. Thank you Chef Mario for helping me stay healthy and properly fed whilst .. Becoming. Wolverine. Again,” he wrote in his tweet. In the clicks, we could see his five meals including two chicken burgers with sweet potatoes on the side, a black bass fish with rice and Patagonia salmon with potatoes. These totalled up to nearly 8,000 calories that Hugh Jackman would eat in just a single day.
The post has received over 44k likes and hundreds of comments since it was shared. “Eating a ton is very hard work. Had to eat 5500 calories a day for a stretch and it was like a job,” wrote one user. “Is that PER DAY?! So that’s how much I need to eat to get the body I want? My stomach would hate me,” said another one.
Of course, this kind of diet requires expert supervision and the right kind of workout regime to be paired with it. Do not attempt to follow such diets on your own! What did you think of Hugh Jackman’s 8,000-calorie diet? Tell us in the comments.
